Want to come in?
Put it this way my pony is grumpy git, as though he always sticks his nose down at me thinking 'eurgh peasant'
Some days he will happily come in but other days he will just sod off. he is sometimes weary of me going up to him in the feild, i dont know wether he is scared or wether he is just being arrogant? I always have to go to get him in by persuading him with food, i dont always ride him when being brought in and he is always fussed ect when bought in so i just dont understand.
Any suggestions?? Or do i just have a general grumpy pony

I have sadly learnt with mine that if he doesn't want to come in, he won't and it's better off leaving him and trying again another day (if he lives out 24/7), like mine in the summer. They (2) are on 12 acres so the first week I just let them be and check the water as can't get near them. For me it's best to leave him as I have tried spending hours and hours trying everything to tempt him the bug*er used to come and grab a mouthful and p*ss off. Probably not the best thing to let him think he has 'won' but in the end of the day, if he really doesn't want to come in he won't. :(

Argh its such a pain in the ar*e having a pony living out 24/7 that is grumpy when you compete! Its such a worry a day before a hunt or something not knowing wether he wants to come in or not! Horses, owning them sometimes is questionable!
