how to measure for an exercise rug?

I want to buy an exercise rug for my guy but I dont know how to measure him up for one.

Can someone offer me some advice?

I got an exercise rug from your horse live - they said for a horse which wears 6ft rugs that it needed a 4ft 3 in an exercise rug

We always reckon to go bigger than Lynz25's suggestion - A horse in a 6' rug would be better in a 4'6". Always depends whether your horse is big in front or long backed, of course.
