How to measure stirrup irons..

Daft question

but before I blow my life savings on some Sprenger Bow Balance, what part of my current irons should I measure - OH just checked and he said 4.5" inside or 5" overall though I might check this for myself later

So what size am I? I'm a normal width size 5 shoe and riding boots are normal, not chunky if that helps?

LOL I normally just check what size the rubber treads are marked!!!

Bet yours are 4.5"...........5" are massive.

I will PMSL if it says the size on them - have had OH carefully measuring with a ruler..

I'm guessing 4.5" too.
