How to persuade a parent to have a pet....

as some of you may know, i really want a ferret (done all my research etc etc) and my mum will let me have one. now we need to ask my dad, you see earlier on last month my dad said " we are having no more pets "!

so do you guys have any ideas on how to persuade a sturburn parent to have a pet?

all ideas apreciated!

have asked to do that, but my mum was like, "your dad would go mental"!

but i will try that again!

mind you that is what we did when i got my guineas!
 
Would you look after the ferret all yourself? And you wont lose interest?

Say you will keep it in your room and he can just forget tits even there!

i would look after it.them my self, and wont loose interest, i have wanted one for more thann a year!

i might keep it in the spare bedroom (bigger than mine!)
 
Our family have always got pets first and then told Dad later!!

He is always grumpy about it at first and calls us several names but once he falls in love with them, that is it, he is besotted.

The thing is if we did ask he would say "No" so why bother asking? PMSL
