Eventing How to present my part bred m&m mare in hand?

Here is a picture of me and my part bred m&m (75% welsh d and 25% Arab)at a local show in hand. She is slightly more broad than I would like her to be so we are working on getting her slightly finer. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas to improve our presentation (we won the class and did the show before) should I keep her with a plain browband? I use rubber reins so would leather look better? Would short boots and beige pants look better for just inhand? Just any tips are welcome we are still getting used to showing. Thankyou
 
i showed a bit many years ago and was quite successful and feel that plain browband is fine as your horse has a blaze, leather reins would look better than rubber and i used to show in beige trousers and jodhpur boots , my horse had black legs and i chose beige so her legs would stand out from mine. your horse looks very nice and even though its not correct in my eyes, when showing the judges still seem to like them with plenty of condition., good luck

Thankyou very much I have noticed she is slightly chunkier than the rest so aiming to cut her belly down lol
 
Well done you both look really smart and she is very pretty, I would opt for light trousers and short boots they look more correct, they are easier to run in as well and if the weather is warm a nice waistcoat will be cooler than a jacket, leather reins will look better and I think with that breeding she can have a velvet one I often match it with my tie.
 
Lovely horse you would look better in cream trousers and short boots and with leather reins I am pleased you haven't commited the cardinal sin of using a lead rein on a riding bit You could use an in hand bridle if you are going to make a sport out of in hand showing they look smart and are usually finer leather. I think but am not sure that if you wanted you could use a different browband but she looks very smart as she is. Plaited and pulled is correct with heels trimmed
 
She looks to be a hunter pony type so stick with the plain browband. It would not be correct to have a ribbon one.

For you, cream trousers and short boots would be better. A smaller necked shirt and a windsor knot in your tie would smarten everything up. Leather or plaited reins would be better than rubber and as pony appears to be of ridden age then a riding bridle is correct, not an inhand.
Its not essential but if you ever change your jacket you need one probably a size or two smaller then you have now and without a second pocket on one side.

Thankyou very much, I was thinking of changing my jacket to a more suitable one as I bought this as my first jacket hoping I would grow into it, i was thinking a different colour tweed as it has hints of pink in it so was hoping for a smaller size too.

I'd still go for one with a green base as it will look lovely against her, but maybe a more classic and grown up overcheck.
