How to prevent scarring?

As above! Any good tips on preventing scarring? Products etc? Thanks!
My 2yo has a scrape the size of a 2p coin on his hind leg. (He jumped the fence :O !) I cold hosed and blobbed abit of manuka honey on it. Anything else I can do?

I'm a great user of Camrosa ointment. Used it for years, and still do for minor wounds. Always found healing is fast and the hair grows back well too. It's thick like vaseline, and keeps the flies off too.

Ok thank you! Yes keeping the flies off sounds good! I worry about using the honey with the flies!

Wash daily with warm salt water to gently soften the scab at it heals, you want to keep the scab very thin and soft to help the scar be as small as possible, then keep it soft and moist with a topical ointment, ideally something that will keep the flies off.
I've never used caramosa but heard great things about it too

This one is tested and proven. You can also use vitamin E from a capsule, mixed in sudocrem. It's the vitamin E that does the job.
