In preparation for the eventing euros next week - am at my grans with her Sky + hoping to set it up so I can watch it at a later date as I'm away next weekend!

Can't find the right channel anywhere but am pretty sure there is a way to do it??

I'd be interested too. We have a recordable DVD player, and if we physically put press the red button, then record on the DVD player it will record it, but can't set it, and if it loses the channel it just records whatever is on the screen!

Im pretty sure you can record off the red button if you have a set up with Tivo. Ill check with OH later, hes a techy geek and recorded Badminton for me this year when I had to work on the Sunday:( I think you have to be there to switch channels though when the streaming kicks in but Ill get back to you.

I think you can on a freeview recorder as it is on it's own numbered channel - 301 and 302 normally but I don't think you can on a sky+ box :(

I have recorded it off a sky + box but have only managed it by being there. You need to be there to select the red button channel when it comes on then just record. It doesn't seem possible to preset the red button channel and they sometimes change it mid programme anyway! I'm sure your gran will cope!

OK here goes, OH is dictating cos most of this means nothing to me but hope it will make sense. 'You need either a video recorder or dvd recorder, set them up to record from an external source using a scart cable connected to a freeview or sky box which you have preselected the red button feed you wish to record. On the recorder go into the manual record function and set the start and finish times. Once this is done put the recorder into standby and it will then record'

Now Ill be honest and say Im not in the slightest bit tech literate and I get him to do ours but hopefully some of you may get it!!
