i sold one one on Ebay and used a courier service that took anything under a certain weight for 10.00. they were brill, obviously put cost in Ebay ad. Easy peasy, packed it in a box and handed it over to courier at the front door. job done.

I've sent saddles I sold with Parcel Force. Packed in a big box, with plenty of bubble wrap and scrunched up newspaper.

.

Also try parcel2go , i have used them for sending saddles off,
you can get an on line quote from their web site, just google it.

If you send it Royal Mail special delivery it will be delivered next day, tracked all the way, insured automatically for £500 and you will know it got there in 24 hours. Costs £23. Check the website for the box size but a big saddle in a tight box will be fine.
