I'd quite like to order in my hard feed for the winter in bulk but that means 60+ bags of feed to store and I'm wondering how best to do it. We have concrete hard standing and we also have an open woodstore which would both be fine but I'm a wee bit worried about mice/rats going through the bags which would make the whole thing uneconomic.

What does everyone else do? I do have two cats so I've never had problems with vermin before now. Is it ok to keep the feed on a pallet outside either undercover or under a tarpaulin or will it definitely get nibbled?

Hi - I only have one beastie to feed so I only buy one of each sack at a time. I found that when I used to buy in two or three of each and store in my shed they got nibbled. I only have one steel bin per type of feed so the only way I could store was in bags....
