how to tail rake

Hello!

I have a tail rake which I used to do ponies tail.

Just wondered what the best way is, any tips to make it look good?

Or, would you say they were not good?

I love tail rakes as Hattie hates having her tail pulled, I just bought a new Solorake that I'm itching to try for a show next weekend! I start at the top and alternate raking on each side so that the tail is even and work my way downwards so that it looks like a pulled tail.
