How to tell if a saddle is fake? (Heritage brand)

I've just bid on, and won a "heritage close contact jumping saddle" on ebay. Hooray!

But I've gone onto the heritage website and can't find the model (JP) on there. The pictures of the saddle look bona fide, and it has a 'stamp' on the girth protectors.

I rang my local saddlery and they said to look at the stirrup iron bar for an english leather brand, and something about the webbing being split if it's genuine?

Some help would be great, I have contacted the seller to say I am just speaking to my saddler and will pay for the item by Monday lunchtime. If it *is* a heritage - as that is the brand it is advertised as being under, rather than "JP" in the item description.

I can't go have a look, as it's in Exeter, Devon and I live in Co Durham!

I have done, and left a message on the answerphone, but I was just wondering if anyone knew anything on here, as I doubt he can get back to me before the weekend.
