How to trace a Polo pony?

I have a thoroughbred "rescue" horse which I have been lead to believe used to be a polo pony. Unfortunately, her passport was only issued in 2006 by the BSJA when she was 10 years old. Is there any register of polo ponies like there is for racehorses? It has been suggested that she may have been a failed racehorse who was bought to play polo.

She is a very sweet mare and I would love to know a bit more of her history.

Difficult one if not microchipped

I would have expected a Hurlingham Polo Assoc passport rather than a BSJA passport.
Always puzzled when TBs are re-passported why????????

She could have played with a Wetherbys passport, no need for an HPA one. She was obviously not much good at polo or she'd still be playing, she may have never done more than farm chukkas. Who did you buy her from? That would be the best lead to any history.
