How to use the Search function on here?

How do you search for something comprising more than one word? Like 'hot clothing' for example? Normally speech marks work, or apostrophes. Those dont work on this site, so how do you search on here? If I try and search 'hot cloth' it only searches 'hot'. If I try to search 'hot clothing', it ends up searching for 'clothing'! Very unhelpful.

If you used advanced search it is much better at finding what you actually want
