Mine was actually quite good. Spot got his 4th Double Clear at Foxhunter so now qualified for the regionals, Cath just needs to get brave enough to jump 1.35 now...

I clipped Olympic, who decided that he didn't feel like being clipped with just his face left and I stupidly decided to try and do it and he now has a piece of hair missing from the middle of his nose (no laughing at him) he then pulled back and ran around the farm a bit, so I gave up. I just thought why did I try...

I went to Badgworth sunday, didn't feel like jumping at all, weather was horrible, but not being turned out for a week because its too wet obviuosly suits Olympic as he was very 'enthusiastic' about the jumping - very big flying changes at every available opportunity. You also couldn't warm up very well as there was only 1 fence in the warm up, so I only got to jump an upright, went in the 1st class and the first fence was a spread, came down to it gave him a kick in front of it and he jumped it enourmous. Anyway we went clear in the 1m (8 in the JO) and clear in the 1.05m (8 in the JO) very consistant.

How did everyone else do?

Mixed. I never entered my daughter into the 2nd rounds of the Trailblazers, so she had to start again. I got them there too late to walk the course in the 85cm, so she lost her way in the jump off. Then had 4flts in the 95cm so she may have missed her chance of getting to the 2nd rounds as I am now working every forseeable weekend. Took Sas for the ride & she spent the whole time calling her head off, I thought she might be a little horse next day but no such luck!

Well, we didn't compete but did have a jolly old time with Bo in the jumping clinic on sunday. Looks like we're all set to get out and compete on sunday now

Well done to Spot for his 4 DC's. The regional finals are big from (a very distant) memory ! Nearer 1.45m / 1.50m in the second JO

Oh, and don't worry about having a horse with a half clipped face ! Bo has everything off EXCEPT half of one ear, and the top half of his face lol! He got fed up with waiting for me too lol!

The second JO - that means he's already jumped clear round 1.35+ twice.... they are enourmous and jumping round the first round would be good.

Hehe...yeah...They're 'only' 1.30m in the first round though

I remember when I jumped mine (back in the early 80's !), we'd been jumping Grade C and B&C qualifiers - Summer and Winter versions - but the Fox regional final was a whole different ball game

I worked on saturday and got so wet and muddy I thought I would never be dry again, it was absolutely disgusting.

On sunday I had to help at our PC winter show at merrist wood. Got up at 6.15, got to merrist wood at 7.30 only to find that they had locked the arena so the whole show was late starting. Had a rather unpleasant morning with unhappy competitiors and one woman even started swearing at me.

Left the show at 12 and drove 2hrs to bedfordshire to a) pick up a saddle b) look at a pony for my mother and c) visit my auntie and say happy birthday. Finally got home at 11pm and needless to say I'm absolutely exhausted.

We went to Royal Leisure where OH took neurotic horse in the clear round (4 faults) and British Novice (8 faults). very happy though because he hasn't been anywhere in ages and he really enjoyed it.
Took Tica in the discovery and she jumped fab and came 2nd

I was sooo pleased especially as I hadn't taken any money therefore had to win something to be able to buy lunch

I had a good jump lesson Sat on Spider she jumped very well considering the 2nd half of the lesson it was like riding under a waterfall, we were soaked!!! She is getting much stronger now.

Then Sunday hacked her up to the woods and again very good, jumped some ditches some logs and the odd human seat!!

Your burgers must be expensive - or very poor prize money

Been away since monday so just logged on. Yea weekend was good, i went to badgworth and as you say there was only one practise fence in the lower warm up but there were in the top warm up.
People there are so friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble.
Really enjoy going there

The Hand, 3 day show starting tomorrow. I'm not going though as the schedule is bad for me. Either the last 2 classes or the first class and the last class. Supposed to be going hunting instead. So what horses have you got, what classes do you jump?
