Mine was good, had a fall, was trampled, but got back on.
OH had his very first lesson. Did really well and loved it:)

How about everyone else?

Didn't go up today, but had a FAB one the day before! Got a new instructor and Monkey has been brilliant since. Teeny tiny bit of extension, leg yield and mediums yesterday :D :D :D so pleased with how he's turning out. Might be a bit of a slow journey but we will get there :)

Yikes, I wouldn't consider falling and getting trampled a good ride  I consider it a personal failure every time I hit the deck, plus it usually hurts :o

Fantastic! I have a friend who has totally lost her confidence and I managed to get her up on my lovely cob, Blaze, who is a real steady, safe schoolmistress. We ended up hacking out for two hours and my friend had a huge smile on her face the whole way! We only walked, but it was a great start and she is going to ride her regularly.
Plus - the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. Summer here at last?

Mine was lovely thank you :)

I was out by 6 and it was already 13 degrees. There was plenty of rabbits, no flies and all the foals were still flat out snoring. Couldn't be better.

Hope you're not too sore.

:D Well yesterday we had the most fantastic ride - we went out with my YO (on her 17 hh TB, lol), and when we got to the canter fields, Shy managed to keep up (she cantering, us flat out) - he absolutely LOVED it, and so did I, it was soooooo much fun.

Anyone who says gypsy cobs/dales can't move or jump (he was written off as "IT" and "The Carthorse" at my last yard) have to eat their words, lol.:p

I love my pony !

Mine was bloody brilliant! Every time I get on my mare at the moment it seems like she has grown up a little bit more. She really struggles with her canter transitions at the moment as she is still exceptionally green but yesterday she popped into canter both times and on the correct leg first time. Also I took her out for a hack on her own (ex racer so not a strong point for her) and she was a star, even when we had to pass a 7.5t grabber lorry - I'm so proud of her :D

Mine had been a near perfect lesson up until that incident. Despite guy with electric drill working outside...we even walked over a pole!

Spectacular spook - Hippo jumped sideways across the arena and I stayed on. Rode out the spook. Almost kept my seat afterwards. So I'm improving. And Hippo chose not to drop her full weight on me; she tried to jump over me actually. We are bonding:D

Actually terrified of getting back on now but hey, that will pass. It has to. No one else wants to get on her!

By the time I got to the yard at half nine it was sweltering so I decided to give riding a miss. We went for a walk in hand instead and it was stunning. Then we got back just in time for the dentist.

Far too hot to put all normal kit on but always try to be safety conscious so rode in hat, BP and gloves but no top:D. Gave one of the builders a thrill when he noticed!

I didn't ride, again, as my horse is lame, again! He has managed to pretty much have the whole last month that I am having him lame! I have however been cold hosing and lovingly lathering him in Ice Tight the sucker that I am.

Still his owner has asked if I would continue riding until we decide what is happening with him, I find another horse or until I don't want to which is nice, I will be able to save his livery money every month which will be nice :)

Ouch, hope you're not to sore! Mine was good, went for a quiet hack, only rode one today, my Sypo. Sun shining, iPod on, farmers farming, sheep and lambs running :D Couldn't have had a more chilled hack. Glad Sypo isn't very spooky as had massive tractors and trailors coming past us :)

No ride today as horse pulled front shoe off at weekend. Hunter trial.
Going back on tomorrow so will be back in business at the weekend :)

Did'nt ride today, when I got to yard about 2.00 pm I was too hot and bothered, but had a lovely hack yesterday, after all the problems we've had with napping it was a relief to have an uneventful ride, hope you're not too sore x

The yellow pony was amazing!! :D All the talk of showing on here and the local rc show coming up soon I put him in his pellham to see how he was in it and he was just so there with me :D. When I asked for flexion I got it instantly, he didnt hollow in any transitions and I got a really nice right flexion without hollowing in canter (a massive achievment for him! :o) he was just totally soft and relaxed :D. Now going to ebay a straight bar snaffle and see if its that he liked as even when I completly dropped my curb rein he was still being awesome.

I love my body protector;) My arms are covered in teeny tiny burns and nicks, my knuckles are skinned, and I have a massive bruise on one arm where the first hoof connected...but all the vitals are fine! Surprisingly not all that sore, overall.

Instructor got me straight back on, definitely for the best! Thanks x

Finally mustered up the courage to actually ride my mare :) and was glad I did went in the school did some walk and little trot, really built up my confidence... ready for my first hack in a year on her on friday
Wish me luck! :D

This picture pretty much sums it up! (it was taken yesterday, but we did the same thing today!)

Really lovely - even though for a change we did roadwork, did the busy block and both were fab, including Alf who has not long been broken. Lovely evening, hope to go out around the fields tomorrow!

Had a fab ride with YO.... Cob much fitter now and really loved today's hack. Couldn't have asked for more :)

Yours sounds painful! Mine was good jumped today in prep for our show on sunday and he was fab!!! just an ickle bit hot and sweaty after, who am i kidding he was dripping, gotta love hot weather:rolleyes:

after the first 10 mins of generally being cow phobic, road marking phobic, people phobic - you get the picture - he was an absolute dream boat and the crazy supposedly for sale mare has got her halo well and truely on and is making the for sale part very hard indeed :)

It ended with me stretchered to A&E! A lesson was going so well he was light responsive and straight off the leg. He spooked at a cone, ( he never spooks in the school) cantered off I lost my seat and was struggling to stay on, he cantered up the bank at the side of school and tried to jump the wire fence taking the top wire with him, I stayed on till the other side, he dropped a shoulder and I was off! First real fall in 10+ years! Bit bruised n battered
but fine, I'm getting back on today :)
