I've seen one advertised for £650. 3 months old. Is that a bargain? Do they hold their value? Just incase it doesnt fit and i have to re-sell. I've always wanted one, but cant afford £1500 for one (i'm a poor student child!!!)

YO sold her old one on ebay earlier this year for £800 so I'd say they do hold a reasonable amount of value.

Dressage saddles do seem to hold their value more than GP's and "named" ones all the more so.

They do if you buy second hand, but you always make a loss if you buy a saddle like that new

I hav'nt long sold one on there and I got £800 for it- so £650 seems a good deal

I think thats a bargain. Its just risky in case it doesnt fit, then your left trying to sell it again. Things are only worth what people are prepared to pay and 2nd hand saddles are risky as people are wary of paying big money just incase it doesnt fit and you could end up stuck with it for a while.
Cant you ask to try it before you buy, Ive done that before. Its a bit of trust really but I paid in full on the understanding they gave it back if it didnt fit. Took it back the same day though.
Good luck.
