I bought a Saint Lourdes VSD May last year when I got my mare but it is now getting too tight for her and I am also going to buy a dressage saddle instead. So am wanting to trade in my saddle or possibly sell it to 'Saddles Direct' or try to sell privately myself.

The saddle was made Dec 2007 and I bought it brand new from saddle fitter May 2008 and it is still in good condition. I bought it for just short of £600 so how much do you think I should be asking for it when its only had one year of use and has been looked after well?

TERRIBLY!
I was offered £500 for a passier saddle that I paid £1500 for and has only been sat on 3 times.

You people have had bad experiences. I am v loyal to my saddle fitter and always trade the saddles back which I don't need. He has just given me £1000 for a 5yo Albion dressage saddle which cost £1600 new; and he once gave me £900 for a £1000 KN which I had for a year - he must have had a buyer lined up I think; and it ws PX for another new saddle.

I bought a Albion Selecta with 2 sets of flaps and paid £1,200 used it 6 times then had to have my ID x TB PTS. I was offered £450 on a private sale so its in the back room now doin nothing and waiting for me to buy another big horse.
I didnt want to give it away its in perfect condition.
