How would use 2 light weight no fills rather than a medium weight?

Would you prefer 2 no fills over a medium weight?

As above?

I have 2 lightweight no fills

1 medium (200gram)
1 heavy (300gram)

Not quite cold enough for the medium yet, but also i feel that just the one no fill can be a bit "cold" in the rain and wind.

Is your horse clipped?
I can't see much point using 2, it's like putting 2 kagools (SP?) on yourself!

Mine are clipped out in mediums (250g) and are fine as its still 11 degrees here.
Others unclipped are just in lightweights.

Well one has like an anti sweat, netting liner, i just wondered if it'd offer a bit more warmth in that she wouldnt feel the coldness of the outer LW when its wet x

No I would stick to one lw until I need a medium - I realise now that you mean Who !

Mary mare is too hot at the moment in a LW 100grm fill and my boy is too hot in his rain sheet - as long as it keeps the rain off them they will be fine

My two are hunter clipped and in lightweight no fill rugs. I have 100g rugs and put one on Kelsi after she was clipped and she was too hot. I am looking at buying them 50g rugs as well!

I don't think lightweights really trap a layer or warmth so think it would be more uncomfortable and not really that warm... I'd try a summerhseet or fleece under one if you don't want a med weight yet?

Mine is currently in a rainsheet and clip but it is very mild.
However the other week when temps dropped a little i put her in a fleece with her rainsheet over the top, she would have been far too hot for the MW rug

You probably want to invest in a couple more rugs. Two LWs together will be rather useless and possibly results in rubbing/restricted movement.

This is why I have a 100gm rug (on my boy at the moment actually), as I do think you need something in between the no fill and the MW. I use a Rambo duo without any liners (not a fan of the liner system, but that's another matter).

As a short term solution, then as others have said you could use a fleece.

Is she clipped? From memory - you have a native right? She should be fine with one. I don't rug natives - they're designed to handle the British weather with what nature gives them.
