I asked my friend to ride Pluto for me today, he has been on livery today too as for personal reasons i couldnt go to do him, All she had to do was ride and put his stable bandages back on afterwards, do you think that is a lot to ask someone to do? she clearly thinks it is and has just text me to say he was very good and had i left any pre rolled bandages to go on as if i hadn't it was a lot to ask someone to do!!
This is now the straw that broke the cammels back, i've not been happy for ages, and have been thinking of moving him closer to home, this has just made me definately decide thats what i'm gonna do. please tell me if you think she is right or if a have been out of order??

Blimey, in the time it took her to send the text, she could have re-rolled his bandages. I can't believe she did that - how bizarre!

Not sure if its worth posting as last time you asked advice you were rude to everyone who didn't agree with you. BUT I'm always up for giving everyone a second chance!!

It all depends on who was doing who a favour really. If she desperately wanted a horse to ride and you were doing her a favour letting her ride then no, its not too much.

If however (as it sounds) she was doing you a favour exercising your horse for you and has gone out of her way to do it without getting paid, then I'd say yes you should have had some ready rolled to go on.

Or you could even leave him without? Does he really need them (ie is there a medical reason why rather than just preference)?

Pro rider, wether he wears bandages for a medical reason or not is nothing to do with you, I feed her horse and walk hers dogs daily, re doing badages takes 5 minutes, and at no point have i asked 'advice' and i'm not in this thread either!

Yep, ^^^ this.
You don't have much luck with people around your horse, do you, FullThrottle?

Actually, you DID ask for advice - or at least - opinions. You said: "please tell me if you think she is right or if a have been out of order??"

I would suggest that you don't ask for opinions if you're going to be rude to those who bother to offer one - even if you don't like what they have to say. Otherwise, one day you will really NEED advice on something, and your thread will drop like a stone with NO replies!

For what it's worth, rolling bandages is a hell of a lot less work that getting a horse ready, riding it, and then putting it away. Maybe the bandages were just the straw that broke the camel's back!

And normally I don't button push but I just have. This is an open forum for anyone to read and you cannot use language like that. Vile.

But some do and they have. The post was rude, I agree. I think we should leave it at that. I've pushed the button along with the rest.

My opinion is that if she was desperate for a horse to ride, then no she should do it on her own.

However, IF she is doing you a favour by riding your horse when you're having problems, then yes I would leave my horse in the state that EVERYTHING is 100% perfect and prepared. When I go away my horses always have everything laid out down to feeds made up for every single day, etc etc.

Depends on the situation and who is gaining most! Hope you're having a nice holiday, FullThrottle.
