How would you use a martingale with this?

Going XC tommorow, and I am going to be using these on horses reins

Rein thingys

But I idealy want to put his martingale on him as well.

The elasticy bit slots over the rein, but I am debating where/if to put his martingale on

Any suggestions?

Can u not put the martingale in between them? I dnt understand why you would want to use them for xc?

horse can be a pain xc, and you have to hold reins very short, often resulting in a jab in the mouth when he doesnt jump properly

The picture has a martingale stop in it so presumably it's ok to use a martingale with them? If the rein thingys go near the bit, can't you put the stops in front of them & then put the martingale on as usual? Or if the rein thingys go further back then maybe you'll need two lots of stops - 1 after the rein thing & 1 before the end of the rein?!!
