Dear all,

This is a permanent sticky post in order to update HHO users about current editorial opportunities in Horse magazine. I’ll be adding all new requests to this thread, so please do check regularly if you would like you and your horse to appear in the magazine. However, it’s best if you get touch via email – victoria_spicer@ipcmedia.com – rather than reply below!

Thanks

Victoria

Do you do anything fun or exciting over Christmas with your horse? Does your yard arrange any sort of Christmas party, or do you go to any festive-themed shows in December? Do you always do something special with your equine partner on Christmas day?

If so, please get in touch - email victoria_spicer@ipcmedia.com, and you could appear in the December issue of Horse.

Thanks

Is your horse or pony a real mud-lark, who likes nothing better than a prolonged roll in the mud? If so, please do let us know about it – and you could appear in Horse magazine, and win a prize from Toggi.

Send one, clear, good quality photograph of the pair of you in action, plus a bit about you and your horse, to to victoria_spicer@ipcmedia.com and you could appear in the Collecting Ring page in the December issue. If we use your picture, you'll win a set of cosy Arran socks from Toggi.

Don't forget to include your name and address – the closing date is Friday 14th November.

Have you found your perfect horse?

If you bought a horse recently (ie in the past five years) and have an interesting story about how you eventually found the perfect partner, we would love to hear from you. Perhaps you:

* Searched high and low for some time, and had to contend with misleading ads or troublesome sellers, until you finally found your new horse?
* Had to travel for absolutely miles for the right horse?
* Found your horse from an unusual source?

If this sounds like you, or if you have an interesting tale to tell, please get in touch and you and your horse could appear in the January issue of Horse magazine.

Please email victoria_spicer@ipcmedia.com

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Horse magazine is looking for a rider to have a dressage lesson with Peter Storr on the afternoon of Tuesday 9th December. The lesson will be held at Peter's yard, near Broadway, Worcs.

To apply, email: victoria_spicer@ipcmedia.com with a few details about yourself and your horse. Please include your age, your location, what level you compete at and any problem areas you would like to address.

If you have already applied for previous Masterclasses, you do not need to send full details again - just let us know if you're available that day and would like to be considered. If you've had any lessons through Horse magazine before, sadly you won't be eligible for this Masterclass.

The successful applicants will be chosen and notified by Monday 24th November.

Thanks

Victoria

The prize for the next issue is a pair of fleece riding gloves from Toggi, available in black or navy in sizes S-L. Please specify which you'd like to receive should we print your photo.

I can't get passed the first question, it keeps knocking me back and saying :
This question requires an answer.

Even though I have ticked quite a few boxes. Is there a limit on how many?

I am writing a feature for HORSE magazine on dealing with difficult characters in the horseworld. Have you ever faced a tricky situation, perhaps with a troublesome sharer, unreliable farrier, unreasonable livery yard owner, awkward fellow livery, or unhelpful show organiser, for example? Would you be happy to talk to me about your experience, and how you dealt with the situation, for the feature (if needs be names can be changed). If so I would really love to hear from you! Just PM me with a contact number and a good time to call.
I look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks and have a happy New Year!
Sarah

In the March issue of Horse, we'll be taking a lighthearted look at some of the strange and funny comments you've had when you've been competing. Perhaps you had a comment on a dressage test score sheet that made your jaw drop? Or did the judge say something to you in the line-up that made you chuckle?

If you've got a story to tell, please either PM me or email me at victoria_spicer@ipcmedia.com

If i was to send you some information on a compaign for same off road hacking inmy area which I am closely involved in, would you be willing to put us in Horse magzine when place became available?

W have been in Horse and Hound but require as much coverage as posible.

Nailed - can you email my Editor with the info when you have it – her email is joanna_browne@ipcmedia.com

Murphy_and_Sert – I will be going through the smaller native pics later this week. Did you email them over to me? If so, no need to resend. I hope to include most of the pics I received, although some pictures people are sent are too small to use so I'll get back to you if I need yours any bigger!

Post above from Lisa - ummm, quite!

Thanks
