My next article for Horse International magazine has been posted on my blog, which you can access through the News page at http://www.morningside-stud.com

Remember to click on the link called Special Offers if you'd like to take advantage of the special subscription deal for Horse International plus IdS International (the English-language version of the KWPN's magazine) available only through Morningside Stud's homepage.

Next month (October, Issue 9) Horse International is going to publish a very good article by my dear friend Maren Engelhardt about using TB mares in sport horse breeding. The article was going to run alongside my article last month on TBs in sport horse breeding (see the ongoing thread on the COTH forum) but they ran out of room. Then it was going to run this month but they decided to run my article instead because breeders are evaluating their foals now. I'll take a break next month so Maren's article can be published in my space. It is worth the wait, however, as Maren makes a lot of good points.

In any case, I hope you enjoy this month's article and find it worthwhile.

Tom I love your articles - I read this one and then found myself scrolling down and reading all the others as well - some for the second time, as I had followed the links from your posts on other occasions!

As a fellow writer (albeit on very different subjects from yours) I admire your clear, lucid style. And as a novice newbie trying hard to learn about breeding, I very much appreciate your sensible, down-to-earth explanations and advice.

Thank you!

Would it be OK for me to PM you for a bit of more specific advice on a subject you covered in a previous article? I won't be offended if you are too busy!

I would agree with Htobago as the bit I prticularly enjoyed was the How'm I doin' bit that ws very black and white and concentrated on key points without complicating things unnecessarily.

Thanks for sharing.

Thats the first article of yours I've read Tom, totally not what I was expecting, in a positive way!!! I totally understood that, being a newby to breeding I often read things and feel I know even less than when I started reading!!!

Shall be looking at my foal tonight much more closely, however if you asked her I'm sure she would tell you shes a catwalk model, with the attitude to match at the mo!

I am now late. My coffee is cold and the puppy has filled the hallway with the stuffing from her (indestructible!) bed, and all because I began reading "How', I doin?" and didn't stop.
