howo can i adjust a riding hat

Just bought a gpa riding hat - pulled the tags off (Big mistake) THEN tried it on to find it is a little bit too big.

AM i correct in thinking there is some sort of tape to tighten the fit a little (is only a little bit big)
If so, what is it i need??

or local tack shop should have some they can let you have, they normally get it free from suppliers (or used to)

or any sticky foam from diy or wilkies will do the job, just put it under the cloth rim inside the hat
