I have put this in another thread but incase people dont want to read that ill ask here too :D

She weighs 584kg now (put on a lot in the last two months). She is fed ad lib hay (wet but no soaked) from a hay bar, 2 scoops alfa a original, saracens releve, dengie fibrebeet and colligone as and when needed.

She is quite a high strung mare in medium to hard work (near the harder side thent he medium) and can be quite a poor doer.

Oh gosh! I thought she had a chunk missing from her neck in the first picture! Then I realised it was the sheepskin blending with the sky XD d'oh!!

She's gorgeous :)

She is a beautiful mare isnt she :). But i can assure you, there i no chunk missing in her neck, just a bit of dead sheep :D.

Is it bad i think she needs a little more on her? I think her top line needs to be a bit more and a little more weight behind?

Her boots are eskadron ones purchased from classicdressage.com. :)

She looks good, although a bit more top line would be fine, but that will also come with work too (as I'm sure you know) :)

Stop showing off! :D

Nope :P :D

Yes she needs more topline, but i think she lost some being ridden in the double as she braced herself. Should pick it up easily enough in the snaffle. Shes put on the horse walker every day, ridden 5 times a week and turned out for hours daily :)

the topline extra will come with all the good work in the new bitting arrangements
weight wise she looks so spot on i am jealous!

My thoughts exactly, the topline will come with the proper work :). Its been a long and hard struggle to get weight on this mare, i do think the colligone is why we finally suceeded, and dee being happy :)

i know you cant tell from a few pics really, but she looks happy and relaxed in the recent pics- her eyes look lovely and soft and calm :)

if like to see a tiny bit more on, agree with the top line comment too, im also wanting to ask about your saddle, as looking around the withers and what could possibley be Muscel wastage id wonder if it was just a little to tight.

I saw the snaffle thread ans she looks so much better, you know it does no harm to bit up a bit more if hacking etc but if you can keep your core schooling to the snaffle i think the difference in a month, especially when you go back to the double will be very rewarding xx

Had the saddle checked recently and it is fine, i think the lack of muscle is from where she was coiling her neck up and dipping behind the bits but time will tell. She's very sensitive and i would feel very quickly if her back was a little tender as she tends to be over dramatic ;)

I think she looks good; fit and quite lean as they should be if in work. I'd agree though that a little more top line would be good. Love her!
