Hows his weight looking?

We have now had Donovan for a month, and I am absolutely paranoid about his weight!

How do you think he looks? other than a little muddy!

He looks very well, great weight to go into winter with! Lovely pony too

He looks well!! Wouldn't let him get any rounder but with winter coming you should be able to control his weight without too much of a problem. He is a handsome boy though

I think he looks lovely. Looking at your photo from the sales I would say he has lost a bit of porkiness and looks a good weight going into winter. How are you getting on with him?

We have formed a bond so quickly it really has surprised me!
Didnt really know where to start with lunging and free schooling so had a friend help me, and I think we have that one cracked now.
We put him in a bridle and bit last weekend for the first time, and he was a star. Just let him stand and chew on the bit for a while to get used to something in his mouth (other than food!) and he took no notice whatsoever.
So tommorrow we are going to attempt long reining. Wish us luck!!!

I am just so worried about him getting too fat, maybe to an un-neccessary degree that is spoiling things slightly. I am not rugging him unless its chucking it down with rain, or going to freeze overnight. He has a soaked haynet, a carrot, an apple and just a small handful of chaff as a token, and out in the field all day.
I am lunging and free schooling almost every day, but I dont want to get an over fit pony that turns difficult to handle.
But I lurve him!
