How's my nag looking weight wise?

So here is a picture of my 10 year old traditional cob, who we took to a show recently (came first in all his classes - in hand, and second in championship) and we were speaking to the judge afterwards and she said he could do with a bit more weight to him so I was wondering what you all thought about how he looked?

His withers are nicely defined, his spine has started to get a bit more padding to it and you can feel his ribs if you press quite hard. Obviously I don't want an obese pony, but I don't want him too thin either.

Hes currently on a scoop of chaff in the morning with a carrot, and a scoop of chaff at night, with some garlic granules, cod liver oil and a handful of cool mix. He has acess to mineral and salt block 24 hrs and hay ad lib.

He's on a yard with our friends (who we bought him from) who are experienced and we're feeding this as recommended by them. He behaves lovely, has just the right amount of energy for what I want to do as a novice. He's my first pony, so over to you :)

I think he looks fab for this time of year and the feed sounds just right. In the spring he'll put more weight on and if you can work him more he'll muscle up nicely - better to get more muscle than fat
