Hi All

Well seeing as I took Monkeys rug off for a bit today, I thought I would take some pics. How do you think she is looking? Shes 3 yrs 7 months and had a bit of a delayed start. She was looking very immature not so long ago. I think she is catching up with herself but I still think she looks a bit immature, what are your opinions? I really hope she goes up and out a bit and starts looking like a proper horse soon. Pics below, but for anyone interested I have a photo album/diary of little monkey in the link below, like her life story.

She's gorgeous, i have a bit of a soft spot for greys tho as thats what my lad looked like as a youngster. I would say she's not that far behind what he looked like when i got him when he'd just turned 4, is she backed yet? Also what breeding?

She looks nice - however, her off hind looks like it could be quite badly cow hocked - is it just the picture angle?

If it is - speak to your farrier - he might be able to do something to straighten that out.

She is not backed yet, everything but really. But I am very excited about it all! She is TB X with Hanoverian and New forest.

oooo no no no, definitely just picture angle :) I know this as it took me ages to get her standing side on - its just the way she is standing.

She looks in nice condition, but agree with the comment about her hindleg, even in the later photos on your other post her leg and hoof look as if they twist outwards quite dramatically.

I appreciate what you are saying, and I would probably think the same were I just looking at photographs, but every time before I took the pictures she kept spinning as I was moving to try and make her stand still. I assure you her leg isn't actually like that in real life.

My horse points a front toe when she stands, really dramatically, no idea why as she is totally sound! Just a horrible habit :)

Thank you - I'm quite glad you said as well that she looks about right, she has constantly been trying to catch up with herself which is one of the reasons why I havent backed her yet. Its great to hear she is finally catching up
