Following on from my help me please thread.
I have now drafted an ad but wondered if you lovely people could have a look and tell me if it's ok. Is there anything i should change/add in? Is there any bad spelling? but most importantly does it make sence?

Experienced groom looking for live in work in Hants, Dorset, Wilts prefrably with option of livery for own ponies.
Wide experience including riding school, livery, int. event yard, hunting and show yards. Small and light enough to ride ponies and also able to ride large fit horses. I have experience in backing/breaking in, dealing with difficult/problem horses and handling broodmares and youngstock.
I have also undertaken childcare, cleaning, gardening and care of a veriety of other animals.
Willing to work in a team but equally happy to work on own initiative.
My qualifications include:
NVQ level two,
Diploma in stable manegment,
Certificate in holistic horsecare and equine behavour.
I'm a non smoker and am hard working and dedicated to providing top class care to any animal in my care.

Thankyou for all the help.
You wouldn't think it would be this hard would you :( ;) :p :D :D
Chocolate cake for all. :)

Look fine to me- just out of curiosity, would being a free lance groom something you might consider? Good luck anyway.

As it stands, these are the corrections I would make. Others may suggest re-wording slightly?

Thankyou paisley. I would love to be a freelance groom. But i need somewhere to live and the other major problem is i don't drive so it's hard to get from one job to another to make enough money. I am sort of freelance at the mo doing horses where i live to cover my rent and livery and i have three cleaning jobs and a gardening job. It's not to bad at the mo but due to sercomstances it can't work for much longer :( Long story :(

I have never struggled to understand your writing, regardless of spelling, punctuation or grammar. I had massive problems the other evening with something posted by another - and had to have it translated! That's a first for me on here!

Have you got in touch with Martlin yet? I do think more and more people want car/lorry driving as part of your quals., which might exclude you from quite a few positions. You could come here and live at ours, in exchange for help around the place!

Ah thankyou your to kind.
I did message Martlin but sadly she is to far away :( :(. Job hunting never used to be this hard. It was so easy when it was just me and Lucy i could just go wherever the nice jobs where :(
The driving thing is a bit of a rock and a hard place situation. I can't afford to lurn but i think i am wayyyy to nervous in a car anyway. If it was a couples type job OH can drive and he drives lorrys to. :)

I'm guessing Somerset's too far? There was a job advertised in our local paper a few days ago...not sure if it's live-in though...it said £300 per week plus perks.

The ad seems to cover it all to me. Perhaps say what specific NVQ you have and what body awarded your other certificates.

I think you said that you have done sole-charge jobs before in your other post. Is it worth saying that you have actually done this, rather than saying you are happy to do so - it is easy for someone to say they are willing to do something, actually being capable/having experience of it is something quite different!

As for the driving thing, I shudder to think how much it must cost now to take lessons, but I didn't learn until I was your age and was the world's most reluctant driver and one of the most nervous. However, I couldn't do the job I do now without being able to drive, it really does open up so many more doors so do think about having just one or two lessons to see how you get on. It is funny isn't it, how you can be quite happy sitting on a lunatic pony and hardly batting an eyelid, yet sitting behind the wheel of a machine which you are totally in control of is terrifying?

Good points thanks

LOL thats so true. I ride Herbie, i don't care what he does and i persevered with him but even being a passenger in a car terrifies me. I have tryed driving before and it was a compleat disaster, as soon as the car moves i panic and that was in a great big field! I can't imagen me driving on the road. We never had a car when i was growing up and i've only realy just started going in a car lots since i've been with my OH so only about 2 years. God that sounds so odd :p Maybe one day i'll be brave enough to give it another go. :)

Sounds grand to me! Have you considered including glos in your search area? It seems to be horse central! Esp if you are happy to do polo ponies there seem to be a few live in jobs around?
