HOYS - anyone been?

Hi,

I'm sure lots of you have been to HOYS before and are planning on going this year. This year will be my first time, and first time to Birmingham so have no clue of the layout.

Can anyone reccomend me a good hotel thats near the NEC? I have looked at the Premier Inn @ Balsall Common but not sure how easy travel to and from the NEC will be.

Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks

If you are in a car Balsall Common to the NEC is about 5 minutes.

ETA - that of course depends on how fast you drive and where in Balsall Common you are!! I drive like a maniac and know where I am going so maybe say 10-15 minutes as you are a 'newbie' to the area!!

Its very easy from Balsall Common, last couple of years we have stayed there and gone to the show, think this year we are staying at Coventary as it cheaper.
Think it takes about 5/10 mins by car

Me and my 11 year old son are going for the last night, we have booked the premier inn at birmingham airport/NEC, a room can take 4 for just £49 she told us it was 20 min walk or 5 min taxi, free parking at the Inn
