Im flying down from Scotland to Birmingham for HOYS. Can anyone confirm if I need a vaccine passport / proof of vaccination for the flights or getting onto HOYS? I know the rules are pretty slack in England (more so than up here), Im having problems finding out definitely and obviously dont want to be screwed at the airport or at the NEC! I could get mine easy enough, but my mother is coming too and she has never signed in online so no idea how to get hers...

Does your mum live in Scotland too? They have different rules.

It's easy enough to sign in to the NHS app. Think she'll need her NHS number, which should be on any prescriptions or letters from her GP.

It's wise to think ahead to HOYs, in case vaccine passports become a requirement for travel or entry.

You can get it emailed from the NHS site as a PDF, you don't have to wait for a letter. Then print it out. I did that as a backup when flying recently in case I lost my phone.

If you don't have an NHS log on it will prompt you to create one, just need NHS number name and DOB I think and an email address. You can do it all for her

This was on the HOYS Facebook page at the end of August

We can confirm, you will EITHER need to be double vaccinated OR provide evidence of a negative lateral flow or PCR test within 72 hours prior to the event – spot checks will be taking place. Alongside this, we strongly encourage the use of facemasks for all in attendance.
