As Ive not been to HOYS I would say go to YHL There are absolutely loads of stalls as well as demos by top riders. Last years demos included Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin and they were fab and were spotted eyeing up a new horse lorry later
Should also add its free parking and I suspect the entry tickets are probably cheaper at YHL too leaving more money for shopping
I have a trade stand at both. Yhl is where there are tonnes of trade stands and loads of bargains but hoys has a fab atmosphere and a lot of stalls plus the comps. If u want cheap shopping then Yhl, if u want an alround Experience then hoys
I've not been to YHL but from what I have heard the demos get very crowded. If you dont get to the Demos then effectively you are paying admittance just to shop
With HOYS you get the atmosphere of a big show and all the classes as well as the shopping
I've been to both and I would go back to both!
I love the shopping at YHL and all the different performances, however that can work against it, as you have to do one or the other! We had to choose between Richard Maxwell and I think Mary King...a tough one!! We Chose Richard.
HOYS I think is more expensive, but there's a set area for performances so you don't have to miss anything!
