Ok so not a happy chicken....get home tonight to find a bill for £1,437.... for dates back until 2005 for livery at university THAT I HAVE ALREADY PAID!!!!!

God damn them what are they playing at! i kept up to date with all my bills and think the longest overdue one was by 2 months which was subsequently paid together the following month.....

I'm so fuming

I went online to double check the bank transactions - but funnily enough they dont' have transactions for 4 BLEEDIN' YEARS AGO..........................................

Even of the invoices I've "not paid" there is one invoice dated the 29/11/06, and then another on the 21/11/06, both for £150, it's funny isn't it when livery was 1 a month and was £135 a month....

oh my god I might drink alot of wine tonight...
boll*ks to work in the morning!!!

Why the hell are they billing you for livery from 4 years ago

Surely they have been in touch about non payment of these bills before

Wine is the answer!

If you contact you bank they may be able to help. The transactions may not be viewable on line but that doesn't mean that they haven't still got access to records of those payments. Speak to your bank..........you will lose nothing & stand to gain a lot.

I have no idea!!! I'd had all my bills up to date!I dont' have a horse and expect not to pay for it!?!?!

winnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Businesses are suppose to hold all payments and receipts for 7 years before disposing of, so your bank should have all the relevant details of payments you made

LOL I bet they have made some stupid admin error - most common mistake by a rubbish accounts dept is not to match payments made correctly against the invoices raised (i.e. person A's money is credited against person B's bill?)

As others have said, your bank will be able to sort out evidence of the transactions for you, so dont get too stressed about it - but that doesnt mean you cant have the wine of course

Ask the college to investigate and if they insist that you have not paid, phone or go into your bank. Most banks will charge for copys of statements, anything up to £10 per statement. If the total statements you need add up to more than £10, tell your bank you want a Subject Access Report. You will probably have to put this in writing and it will cost you £10 but £10 is a lot cheaper than multiple statements.

ooo that sounds useful thanks TTT, according to their dates of invoices i need to cover 2005, 06 and 07 which I'm guessing would add up in statements....
but has been paid out of multple bank accounts so not looking forward to that
