On Sunday, livery who owns Larry told me that if the time ever came that she was forced give him up, she would give him to me as she knows no-one else who would love and care for him as much as I would.

Pointless post really, I've just never had anyone say that to me before. Always thought that people thought of me as a "follower" (I'm the only one at my yard that doesn't own a horse)

Made me smile anyway

I only go there on a sunday, but have hacked him out and schooled him a few times and he such a gorgeous horse (5yo and 17hh). I just love everything about him. He has no concept of his size, which is good in someways (he doesnt throw his weight around) but a nightmare in others (he follows a shetland around and seems to think he is just as nimble-watching him fall over in the snow was priceless!!)

His owner is so lovely. She calls me after I've ridden him to see how we got on and always lets me know how her lessons have gone in the week and what to do when I next ride him. Its like I'm sharing him without the cost!!

I'm so in love with him!! haha

Well you are obv. doing something right as not everyone would be competent enough to manage a 5yo of that size!! Its nice that you both appreciate what you have got!
