Does anyone know where I can get huge haynets with small holes? I saw someone on our yard with one and asked her, she got hers from local tack shop years ago and they dont have them now

When I say huge you could fit at least half a bale in them, these are not just the normal large haynets you get from robinsons etc.

I would'nt be too keen on having one, as due to size they will hang down more and horses being horses can always find an accident. I would be more inclined to put two up and be safe.

I bought two on ebay last year for about £15. I think they were described as small hole trawler haynets. Will see if I still have the details for you.

I dont hang mine as my horse kicks them in frustration, I just use them as a measure. If you use flaps of hay I reckon you can get about 18lbs in each one!

I think this is where I got mine. They have ones with 80mm holes at the moment but I think mine are 40mm. Would be worth giving them a call. They do the antivice nets too but they arent as big.

The trawler ones (large size) can fit 4 lge sections of hay in. They have small holes. Expensive but last forever in my experience. You can usually get these at local tack shop. They are green with blue string.

I got a shires one from my local tack shop

ITS huge as pickle gets a lot of haylage. The string went after a couple of years but I bodged it with bailer twine at its fine now!
