Took Mill to the vet on Monday as she's been lame on her right hind leg for nearly 2wks. They said it seemed like she'd damaged her cruciate ligament and to take her in Thursday (yesterday) for an x-ray/possible op.

She had to have the op and is now sporting a nylon ligament, stitches and a small bandage/plaster thingy.

She'd like a hug!

Poor Millie ..... have a gentle hug, hope you feel better soon

Hugs to Millie from us too,
My lurcher Morgan had this op in May, he's doing pretty good
and goes hydrotherapy once a week.
This is him feeling very sorry for himself the day he cam home.

They've not put her leg in plaster, she's still feeling sorry for herself and is miffed at being crated (though is secretly pleased she's got the quilt) but at least today she'll stand up - wasn't easy getting her out for a wee last night trying to lift her out the crate.

The vet said she has to have 2wks strict rest i.e. crated and then on a lead to go to the toilet. Then a further 2-4weeks normal rest and bring her back onto it slowly. My vet also suggested hydrotherapy once its healed, luckily there's a pool where I take Mouse for agility.
