To redeem myself, can anyone tell me whether buying a child a new fleece for their pony (who already has a fleece that, granted is a little roomy around the chest, but you vowed to dart it to fit) could be wrapped up as part of their birthday present?

The inner me says that's a pretty mean thing to do for a child. However, the conscience is telling me it might afford me a stay of execution if I convince D that it's a birthday pressie!!!!

I just couldn't resist it. It's a nice deep purple with stars sort of embossed into the material. You can only make them out subtly.

I only went into the saddlery to get my clipper blades sharpened!!

im sure theres other ways to convince D

My parents seem to think so, my main christmas present a few years ago was a heavyweight t/o this year i might be getting a new bridle :P

I regularly get things for Stinky as pressies from OH - am asking for money towards a rather expensive made to measure bridle this year as we will be starting out under the saddle next season.

Nothing wrong with that!!!

If there is, most of my son's xmas presents need to be changed
