What do you all think?

I bought one today and it seems to be really good. Had previous experience of my saddle slipping slightly and this really seemed to hold it well. Anybody else noticed this?

I'm not keen on them myself depends on which make you get thou. think a zig zag with elastic on both side is good. Have you has your saddle checked ? I had a saddle made for my horse and it silpped !! my new saddle is ace wont move at all. try a breastplate that also helps. xxx

Good so long as a girth strap doesn't 'go'. Suddenly, you will have a very slippy saddle situation

Ohhh yes, I didn't think about that! I'll have to make sure I check it often.

Sorry, i know youve just bought one but i personally dislike them. The pull on the girth ends up on a very narrow band down the centre of the girth. I prefer a girth to be as wide as possible to disperse pressure.

I have heard this said before, and I am sure if it did happen it could be quite nasty. However I have used humane girths for years and years, and have some really old ones, and this has never happened - I do keep mine clean and checked though

I don't like them & won't use them for exactly the reasons brighteyes & teddyt describe.

I love my humane girths, fat cob has one as it helps anchor his saddle. Pony is sensitive about being girthed up and I've found these girths suit her best too.
