I have a really old Navy Hunt Coat and I have lost nearly all of the buttons from it. I keep replacing them with odd buttons but they never match!
Does anyone have any idea where I can get a set of buttons for my hunt coat. I have looked everywhere on the net but all I find are buttons from a particular hunt. ie awarded hunt buttons!
Any ideas gratefully received!!

Thanks for the reply. My coat is so old I can't even find the makers name lol!

I have been to a couple of gents tailor but they don't seem to have anything at all.

I even wondered if you can get personalised ones :smirk:

Darkhorse UK sell plain hunt coat buttons, any competent tailor would then be able to attach them. Someone did tell me that using fishing thread is the best way of attaching them.

On a related theme, I need hunt buttons for my minkhound pack waistcoat - will the small buttons as supplied by Calcutts be alright? Am I guessing correctly that it is £5 per button..

Sorry to hijack post A but I was only wondering the other day where CC was!

Nice to know you're still around CC! If you need hunt buttons for your waistcoat, don't your pack have a supplier anyway?

I had them on my old hunt coat that was blue before I given buttons for it.

They are ilke a little raised fox head on the button but still in navy, you casn't see it unless you look close.

Will try & hunt my old ones out tonight & take a pic if your not in a rush?

I've just found my original ones and they are definitely black!! Must be a Caldene thing  Still, they're no good to you anyway. Alexander James could have them, they make Jackets to order :)

Would all be worth a try, don't know the websites off the top of my head but they do come up on Google.
