due to loss of weight i'm after a new hunt coat - preferably navy...

and have two ones that need rehoming - a LW caldene wool one (perfect for mild days - i bought it for hunting in the US where it was very warm at the start of the season) and a traditional HW good quality thick wool one - unsure of make - will check - but has tattersall lining etc - both black and i'll check size but i think both are 38"

sooo good folks of H&H - where am i best to find a replacement (2nd hand - can't afford good quality new:o) and where is best to sell/rehome mine?

Thanks :)

thanks guys :D

Aniseed - i wouldn't be able to sell until i've bought a new one :o but i'll keep you posted - i'll also check exact sizes - they may well be 36" - i'm not too sure :o

that's post weight loss ;)

ETA - this is the LW in action - opening meet in US:

and HW: last season - you can see its too big for me here even with jumpers on :o

I am in the same boat PH, I very foolishly bought a Mears Pytchley hunt coat off a friend not long after I had a baby - too big for me now. It says 36" on the lable, but I think it's more like a 38", 'cause I have a 38" (different make) hacking jacket that fits me where as the Pytchley drowns me!

If anyone is interested, Calcutts saddlery sell second hand hunt coats, I just got a lovely heavy black wool one for £40 - I would assume they would do mail order if you asked. also Field and Country Antiques often have nice coats in. I watched ebay for months and months waiting for the right coat and eventually gave up!

i could be interested if anyone has one that might fit me. my showing tweed is a 38, but i like to wear my BP under my hunt jacket so would need a 40 if anyone's got one needing a new home?

well neither of mine have a size on them! doh!! only had a quick look last night - once i'm back from riding i'll have a go at measureing them - all ik know is my showing tweed as in my siggy is 34 and fits perfectly with some room - whereas my hunt coats are large on me so def 36 or 38... i'll find out and let you all know - but they were still rommy when i was a 36" bra size....so i image 38"...
