Hello, i'm looking to upgrade from my hacking jacket to a black hunt coat and am having problems finding one that fits. I have tried my local tack shops and they stock the Caldene or the Mears both don't fit. The correct chest (Chest 44) size doesn't give the the shoulder room to move. Does anybody know of any other makes I could try?

Thank You

The only other way to go would probably be made to measure or check ebay & check the measurments against your own. Good luck in finding one. Check out Calcutt & son (on the web) they may have some 2nd hand ones in?

Highly recommend Alexander James who are very helpful and do lovely coats- my OH finds them a perfect fit ( caldene were completely the wrong shape) They do different lengths and styles and the price was very reasonable.

Another option may be to get a second hand one (perhaps from ebay) and pay a tailor to alter it. I have a super coat which i wanted to put a body protector under discretely(!) butit meant that sleeve lengths, skirts etc were all too big. Cost about £30 in alterations but it looks fantastic fo about £80 in total!
