Hunt dealers

Hi all
I have a horse who is sadly too big for me but loves to jump, and I'm sure she would make a great hunt horse!

Can anyone recommend and dealers who might buy horses like her? I am in North West but she is currently on competition livery in yorkshire

Alternatively - do any hunts ever look for horses for loan for the season?

Too far from you, but I only know of Exmoor Eventing. You could try ringing them as I'm sure they would contacts around the country. They have a website if you google.

I think Rimmers are up your way (north west) they advertise in Horse and hound sometimes, specialise in hunt horses and they must buy from somewhere, prob mainly from Ireland but they might buy privately as well(tho I'm sure price would have to be right for them)

No point ringing Exmoor Eventing - they now live in Florida!!

Exmoor eventing are importing to the States but more event types now.

Hunta tend to want made hunters as the hunt staff don't have time to educate young or green horses. Some of the smaller packs might bite your hand off, being often quite strapped for cash!

I would check who would actually be riding her and how often. You might be as well asking your local pack so you can keep an eye on her ,

Is it for them to sell on for you? Or do you want to sell it to them?

In an ideal world I would like to find someone to buy outright. She is just such a lovely girl and its a shame she's not being used as she should be. However I have wondered if I should keep her a little longer and advertise for a sharer/loaner who wants to hunt?
