hunt or wait???

so my nervy excitable 4 yr old mare was bought with hunting in mind. My plan was to do some pleasure rides this spring/summer to then cub 2013 and go from there. I have been invited to a meet this saturday in hacking distance which may well cross my OH's land. My OH thinks I should get on with it and go, that I should stop being a wimp and just see how she is. I think my little mares just not ready mentaly and I should stick to my original plan....
opinions please?

I would wait and set aside time to go autumn hunting as much as possible .

If her first experience is a bad one, it could take years to fix. Your original plan sounds good
