Hunt Saboteurs Association - Help needed

Was assulted by sabs who were blocking the road while I was taking my daughter to work, was even videod by a hunt supporter! reported it to the police they were not intrested and said that the video would not be taken as evidence! so where as I was niether for or against hunting, I now take great pleasure in Anti Hunting and going out in the landrover and blocking them at every oppertunity.

Have been sworn at, spat at, had filthy language directed at the chid I was with - and I was not even hunting but happened to be on a bridleway where the hunt had gone past.

They surrounded my horse, throwing anti scent everywhere which caused her to panic. The child I was taking out was only 10 on a section A. We were in old scruffy clothes and obviously not with the hunt.

They caused my mare to panic and start to rear and throw herself and would not move when polite asked to do so. In the end she started to attempt to gallop to escape, so I told them move or go under and let her go. I rode over them and did knock one of them out of the way as he attempted to try and catch the mare. Luckily the pony followed and we escaped.

I am not the sort to panic, but I was in this case left feeling very shook up as they were so out of control.

This was in the days of fox hunting rather than mock hunting.

I have also hunted and again been sworn and spat at and generally threatened with violence - smashing my face in etc.

I have nothing against peaceful legal protests but feel that most sabs are anti-class scum out for a day of causing as much trouble and violence as they can.

The only stroppiness Ive had is from a CA member actually!! One of your members came up to me at a horse show a couple of years ago and tried to stick a pro-hunting sticker on me purely because I was wearing jodphurs. I told her I was anti and she said something very rude to me!!!! I will never ever support the Countryside Alliance. Please inform your members kindly to NOT assume every horse rider supports hunting. We don't.

Echo that MM. Good for you. It is quite common to find both ends of extremism - religion, politics, you name it - as bad as each other. You don't have to agree with everything someone else believes but you have to respect that they have a right to a viewpoint. And anyway CA, your post is advertising which is strictly forbidden on this forum.

I am anti hunting but would never dream of hurting or intimidating another living person for doing something that I don't agree with (well unless I saw someone raping or beating someone up then I might run up behind them and kick them up the arse) I don't agree with the CA and I don't agree with the HSA.

Showjumping isn't part of mine but I'd still say it's okay for people to post SJ related questions in here!

most "Anti's" seem to be anti establishment..you often see the same old faces at any old "demo"..just because they can!!

most are, it seems, are members of some kind of "Rent-a-Mob"..and not just HSA ...

Both mounted and foot-followers are fair game it seems...

i've been spat at, had urine thrown over me and fellow followers, sticks waved at my horse, property damaged and verbally abused....

it seems that all age groups are fair game as small children and elderly folk also have suffered at some time...

I don't follow mounted as much these days...purely because i physically am not up to a days Hunting, but try and meet and foot follow as often as logistically posible.

And i'm a member of the CA

I wouldn't have construed it as an advert - it's a request for information about people's experiences with sabs out hunting. every second post on this forum is a request for information, or advice in some form or another!
