So, continuing on from a thread I started quite a while ago, I'm thinking more about the design of this case.
My idea is to make it in such a way that it can be attached either off-side or near-side, either in front or behind the rider, and also be used when walking, either attached to a waist belt or to a shoulder strap.
Current ideas are:
a couple of leather "loops" on the back, so as to be able to pass a belt of strap through them.
Two D rings along the top and two more on each vertical side
For the closure, I'm hesitating between several options.
I've seen sandwich cases, as well as other kinds of bag, pouch and case, using all the above types of fastener.
Any preference, or experience with any of these fasteners on a sandwich case?

- Sam Browne screw stud either
- on the case front fastening with a hole in a billet sewn to the case cover, or
- on the case front with a hole directly in the case cover, or
- on the case cover, fastening with a hole in a billet sewn to the case front
- Small buckle on the case front with a billet sewn to the case cover
- Tuc lock
- Turnbutton
- Press-stud
- Bridge (not sure if this is the correct term, it's a "pontet" in French)
