Just to say I know how you are feeling (although can't help with horse!!). Broke my ankle badly hunting last Tuesday and am off games for at least 3 months. My lovely 5 year old has gone to a friend to continue hunting till end of season. I went to the meet and followed in a car for a bit yesterday and I was gutted about not hunting and my fab pony being hunted by someone else. It wasn't complete plain sailing for her - she fell off and he had a broncing fit later in the day. She rang me and said "he's not as easy as he looks and he is quite sharp etc" which made me feel much better because he isn't always easy and I thought it was my riding that was crap. Turns out I'd been doing a fair job on him so have no need to feel bad or that my ankle was my fault. Far happier today!!

Anyway hope you find out when you can get back on soon and fingers crossed it won't be long.

You could contact you hunt sec, they might know of someone whose horse is injured and doesn't have a ride, or someone who has a horse that doesn't jump and might be prepared to swap!

Or you could put a note on the hunts website if they have one.
