HELP - I am completing my first HT entry form for the year, there is a commentary slip and one of the questions is 'Points of Interest - For commentator to mention'....What on earth can I put???

Basically only things I can think to say is:

Horse is 16, come back to full health recently, she is an ex racer/ex eventer. I am 42 and came back into jumping late last year after a 25year gap from jumping.

Is this what they are looking for, I am at a loss!!!!

That's the kind of thing I put, you might also want to add that it's your first HT, people are often more encouraging along the way if they know that!! Good luck and enjoy the day! x

Yup. They will just say stuff like 'x has just come back from tendon injury isn't he doing well''at 42 x is jumping again after being away from horses for 25 years!'

That's fine, from a commentator's point of view the horse's colour and your XC colours are handy to know. And if your horse has a totally unpronounceable name but is normally known as, say, Bill, it's REALLY useful to know that. An idea of pronunciation on anything out of the ordinary is helpful.

My first team chase the girl who filled the form in put all sorts of random stuff.
I had made it through the first round of x factor, another rider was the county chess champion, another was a wet tshirt competition winner 1999, the other was looking for a grooms job as had enough of stripping. Was read out apperently! The commentator was chuckling!. Haha.

One I heard a couple years back said the rider was registered blind and only had a wooden leg. :p

I usually put horses stable name, xc colours and what I do for a living. Good luck and enjoy!

If you have a weird name write it phonetically. My name is very irish - Roisin - pronounced Rosheen.

I am sick of being 'ROYZEEN' over the tannoy! Not the commentator's fault.....I blame my parents for giving me a stooopid name!
