Please wish us luck for tomorrow.
Walked the xc course with Sillymare this afternoon. Both horses are doing the baby course, and after walking it, we both felt was really too small and uninspiring but again all has to be jumped.
Theres 10 minutes between Sillymare and I - SM goes first...
Im very excited, as it will be our first xc together, and only Snoops 3rd time seeing the solid stuff.
Had a jumping lesson over SJs this evening with YO. Decided to do a grid, 1 stride between 3 fences. X pole to upright to oxer.
OH BOY! well once the git got over his nappy fit in the stable yard... he worked well. Warmed up over the x pole both ways, then came down two x poles and then 3 both ways. He was very gungho and really didnt respect the fences at all - basically going xc style down them.
Changed 2nd fence to a 1m upright and final oxer to the same. Still it didnt back him off and he still gained ground through the fences, although jumped them neet enough.
YO then popped the final fence up as a decent size oxer with an equally decent size width.
This time he listened and jumped through like a real pro, i can always tell if hes jumped well as i can tell by YO face, she was beaming and said *now thats a SJers jump*
He went on the walker for a further 30 minutes - this horse NEVER gets tired
So could be interesting.... hes has a SJing lesson on Monday lol
