so decided to go to hunter trial today and entered the open single class, and to my horror it turned out to be a 1* eventing course! (i have only done one PN
)...
but decided to give it a go! jumped the first two banks ok, as they were huge and scary! im on a 6 year old... then two wall skinnies to a big hole in the hedge type thing! then the water was massive - a huge log to steps down into the water which we jumped ok, if a little hesitant. then log to another log in ditch with a MASSIVE drop behind, which we sailed over
straight through 2nd water and over double of logs, then on to trakener. then a HUGE log/hedge type thing which we jumped strangely, as he sort of banked the hedge
and then picked up better over the parallel. the next log/ditch thing was good, starting to jump better and be braver! then double of palisades in and out of wood, over chicken coup and down into third water which he needed a little grrrrr treatment
and then up the final line of fences which he flew
we went clear! mummy very proud as re-teaching him to jump as he can be quite dangly...
we wernt as fast as needed to get placed, but we were motoring on
