Hunter Trials in South West Wales (Pembs/Carms)

Anyone know of any? There used to be loads when I was a kid, but I can't find much at all now and certainly nothing in Pembrokeshire. All I can find is Pembrey and Cambrian but they are both quite a distance from me. Thanks

I've been trying to find some that direction (though more Ammanford/Beacons Eq way) and have had no luck. I think Gower riding club run one but I haven't found any details for that either .

Thanks, such a shame! There used to be about four I can name in Pembs alone when I was a teenager and now nothing. Oh well, will have to be prepared to travel I guess! Thanks for replying.

Vale of Clettwr hunt have hunter trials in Croeslan (Llandysul area)

I don't know if this will be any use to you, but Ynysymond Stables (Swansea) are running a hunter trial in August - suspect it'll be a bit far for you to travel but thought I'd give you a heads up .

I know of a few venues for competitions in Pembrokeshire. Will inbox details if you are interested.

I'm already on that page on FB Moor Farm don't seem to do comps anymore, just hold open days and I've heard its a bit of a free for all, which would terrify me! Do they still hold a comp at Bowlings do you know?

I run the Unaffiliated XC Course Photos page on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/unaffiliatedxccoursephotos) and we also have a full calendar of unaffiliated ODE's and hunter trials across the UK. Wales in general definitely seems short of places to go and we always struggle to get course photos sent in too.

I've just had a quick look at what I've found that's coming up. Not sure if it's close enough, but Celaeron EC and Rheidol EC in Ceredigion both have hunter trials / XC in the next few months, Gower Riding Club have hunter trials and an ODE scheduled (I have full course photos from their spring event on my page if that's any use), Swansea PC have an eventers challenge and are supposed to be rescheduling their ODE, Banwen Miners have hunter trials at Ynys-y-Mond in August...

I don't think VOCEO do the Croeslan hunter trials any more? They cancelled them last year and the website hasn't been updated since.
Saint Davids PC held a spring hunter trial at Trecoed - not sure if they'll run another this year but could be one to watch for next year?

Really hope that helps, and if any of you get to any of these events XC course photos would be much appreciated so I can start covering more of Wales on the page!
