Have you seen " Don't Get Done Get Dom?" Basically warranty means not alot. Sale Of Goods Act however means you have up to 6 years, depending on prodcut. So for a sofa you would reasonably allow maybe 3 or 4 years to claim back on defects, a beach ball? Not nearly so long, so a year for hunters? Defintely more in my opinion. I've had mine for 5 years and not split, still totally waterproof. I would ring HUNTER themselves......

The shop I work in sells Hunters. Like so many products I suspect they are now made overseas. Earlier boots said on the label at the fron "Hunter - made in Scotland". They now say just "Hunter"

I have a pair of made in Scotland ones and they are about 3 years old. My daughter had a pair of the non Scotland ones for Christmas 2006. The lining at the back split within about 6 months, and she was hardly wering them cos she was away at University. She now has a replacement pair (originals were sent back to Hunter) and they too are beginning to split. Also we both take the same size but mine are a a better fit than hers, on both of us. If everybody contacted Hunter they might do something about the quality of the current boot.

Some people find they last ages some a year... it seems to depend on how you walk...!

If you wear them every day etc id say a year isnt bad going... tbh id be surprised if you can get a replacement if it is a year if you have no proof of purchase etc, they wont e able to tell if it really is a year or 3!?!

Mine haven,t split but the heel in the right boot took in air and after walking in puddles they made a farting noise, funny to some people but very annoying to me, I took them back and lo and behold the same fault in this pair as well right boot again. I wondered about contacting the manufacturer.

Please do take them back if they develop faults after what you consider is a short time. As I said in my early post, you can tell the newer ones, the label at the front will just say "Hunter", not "Hunter Made in Scotland". The guarantee is 12 months so anything under that should be replaced without argument if you have proof of purchase.. If it is longer than 12 months it does depend on how much you have used them but if you consider they have only light use then take them back to the shop you bought them from and ask them to contact the manufacturer.
